The Middle East is a region where is king and fuel is inexpensive, often leaving little incentive to discover more environmentally-friendly ways of moving.
But this year, as protests throughout the Middle East have pushed up the price of oil, the issue of finding alternative sources of fuel has actually come into sharp focus.
In an area that has one of the greatest carbon footprints in the world, one business is making the most of the growing pressure to find options to oil. It's established the Middle East's first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing profitable too, currently their client-list includes McDonald's.
